The colour comic posted for today (April 16th) is a demonstration of the potentials of outsourcing colour for Cheer!, something I've been considering for some time now. I've created a topic in the Cheer! forum concerning this, because I'd really like to hear everyone's opinions on it. So if you have an opinion, you can either come join us in discussing the options, or if you'd rather, you can email me your thoughts on the topic.

For those who don't read the forums, allow me to fill you in on what's been going on lately.

Firstly, I've decided to move my update days to Wednesday and Saturday. This won't give me any more time, but it should help me apply the time I have more effectively where the comic is concerned.

Secondly, you've probably noticed that I haven't been updating right anyway, and not at all for nearly two weeks now. There are a few contributing factors... the latest gap caused by a need to rethink and do a bunch of unexpected design work, and the lack of an update today as well as a few former delays caused by persistent crashing of my main graphics program, the latest of which made me lose upwards of four hours of work as it corrupted my save file. I am now in the market for a new graphics program, which adds even more delays as I try out various demos and programs to see if I can produce the same type of linework and shading that I want.

On the bright side, I have resisted the urge to kill my computer... with fire...

Well, the break took a little longer than expected, but it's time to get this train wreck a-rollin' once again! Despite thoughts to the contrary, I've decided to get this next chapter rolling with two updates a week, on Tuesday and Friday, trying to focus my attention on restoring reliability. If I can do that, I'll think about moving the comic back to three times a week. Time to get back on track!
